Respondent Support Services provides comprehensive guidance for students who are alleged to have violated the UC Santa Cruz Sexual Violence and Sexual Harrassment policy. Support for respondents is critical for there to be successful engagement within the adjudication process and working through the conclusion of an investigation. Respondent Support Services engages with student respondents in numerous ways, including assistance with personal and academic wellbeing, as well as administrative support and guidance.

Respondent Support Services is not a confidential resource, but information discussed with the RSS coordinator will not be shared or discussed with other university administrators without their consent. The Respondent Support Services Coordinator is also a designated employee of the University of California, and is required to notify the proper University authorities when an incident of sexual misconduct is reported.
